Transit request

So a friend of mine, Guy Lankester, has suggested I might like to drive my 18 year old Ford Transit to Mali, west Africa, via Burkina Faso, to help transport returning refugees before selling the truck down there and flying back.

Sounds brilliant, but is it a good way to spend the next few weeks and the best part of £1500...
